Nick Diaz suffered a career defining loss on Monday, but it wasn’t in the cage. The Nevada State Athletic Commission handed a possible career killing five year suspension. The ban comes after Diaz tested positive for marijuana following his fight with Anderson Silva at UFC 183 in January. In addition to the five year suspension, Nick also was fine $165,000 which was 33% of his fight purse, plus he will have to pay other fees to NSAC in connection to the hearings and testing.
